Little Rocket Lab is basically Factorio meets Stardew Valley. You move back to the village you last saw as a child and pick up your ancestors mantle - in this case, building a rocket - while getting to know the townsfolk.
Story Achievements
If you finish the game, you'll automatically get the following:
- Civic Planning
- Cover Your Ears
- T-Minus 1
- T-Minus 2
- T-Minus 3
- Launch!
Delivery-Based Achievements
The following achievements are very similar to those for the silo. You'll deliver items to the University, the Train Station, and the Observatory in order to unlock specific things. Once they're all unlocked in each location, you'll get the achievements.
- Masters
- All Aboard
- Undergrad
Quest-Based Achievements
For these achievements, you'll get specific quests. Once you've fulfilled the quest, you'll get the achievement. For me, the only tricky part was finding Benson. He lives by the train station, in the wagon north of Angela and Michael.
- Max Efficiency
- Long Walks By the Marsh
- Give Me a Sign
- Team Benmo
Glory to the Great Machine
In the southeastern most corner of the map, there's a clock that requires 15,000 gears to repair. Deliver the gears to complete the achievement. This is necessary for completing Someone to Lean on.
Once you have access to the train, you can use coal and iron ore from there to make the gears, then use cranes to carry them over.
Apprentice Engineer, Junior Engineer, Senior Engineer and Chief Engineer
To unlock Chief Engineer, produce 10,000 items in a single day. If you get that one, you'll also have unlocked all the others.
I left this until end-game, after completing all other achievements. At this point, my production had slowed to zero because I wasn't using any components. I bought 20 donation bins and stuck them at the ends of my production lines, to clear them and get them producing again. I also set up three chains with a level 1 assembler producing belts and a recycler destroying them. The iron plates then got fed back into the assembler, recreating the belts.
The red bins are there to feed the iron plates in, to start the cycle. I just didn't bother to take them down.
I slept through two days, and my production was around 9000 on the first day and 18,000 on the second. Prior to that, my high was about 8000, so I think the belt recyclers/remakers helped.
Great Scott
Produce over 1 million Watts on a single power grid.
When you unlock the level 2 wind turbines, make a bunch of them - like a hundred - and then chain them all together on your silo until the achievement unlocks. Then take them down, since you don't need anything like that kind of power.
Safety First
Go 100 days without any industrial accidents. An industrial accident is when a villager gets caught in your machinery or when the slimes in the mine kill you.
Generally, villagers won't walk into your machinery. The tricky bit for me was when you build a machine in Noor's house. I suspect I had a belt on her spawn point, so she was immediately pulled into the machine first thing. I ended up taking all the components down once I'd finished the related quest so that stopped happening.
If nothing else, you can just start a new game and sleep for 100 days.
Shutterbug
Unlock every photo in the photo album. You'll get most of these by completing everything else. Page 6 is the tricky one. For the upper photo, ride out on Toasty and cut down grass to the south of the silo until it unlocks. For the lower photo, break through the stone in the south of the mine - inside the mine - and pick up the gold ring. Use drills or your hammer. I recommend the drills, since it's over 7000. Set up a donation bin rather than trying to use it up.
Return the ring to Carter to unlock the photo.
Someone to Lean On
Friend everyone in town. There are 24 people/animals/machines, and there is a steam guide for what each person likes. You can gift and chat with everyone once per day, and it takes 5-7 days to raise them by one heart point if you're giving them loved gifts. Completing jobs for each person seems to give you twice as many points. Sabrina and Scrubs seem to take twice as long as everyone else.
For Ronja, throw a gear into her pond every day, after completing Glory to the Great Machine. This is the only gift she will accept.
Good Samaritan
Complete 50 jobs from the job board. I suggest completing this alongside Someone to Lean On because jobs seem to give you about twice as many points as loved gifts.
Rainy Day Fund
Earn 50,000 coins. You'll earn money from completing jobs, or, in mid-game, you can duplicate gems and sell those.
Adulting
Purchase all home upgrades. You'll buy these from Carter, at the mayor's house, between 6am and 9pm. Use your Rainy Day Fund. Expanding your silo makes the rest of the game easier. Expanding the house doesn't seem to do much, so maybe leave that one for last.
Electrifying
Repair all water turbines in the hydro dam. The dam is north-west of the silo. You can break through the padlock with your hammer, then you just need to supply electricity to the place, bring all the pieces to repair each of the three water turbines, and use pipes to reconnect them.
